Hi, I’m Lindsey.

I’ve decided to stop blogging as “Shush” on WordPress.

I’m also going to change this blog’s domain sometime in the next few days as well.

Just thought you all would like to know.  :D

Well keep us posted so we can follow you around. (if you want)

  3. Lindsey replied:

Not to worry. I’ll still BE on wordpress, and this domain will still get you to my blog (thanks to the glory of forwarding)- it’ll just be emphaticasterisk.com instead of shushnow.wordpress.com- but I’ll put a post up when they switch over so everyone can update their blogrolls.

Otherwise the blog doesn’t change in the slightest, same name, same posts, same everything. I LOVE wordpress.

Lindsey, nice to meet you, I am Kelli by the way. I will update my blog as soon as you get settled into your “new home”. I enjoy reading your blog and always take something away.

Hi Lindsey, wonderful to meet you!

You rock, I love the stuff you write!

    Kelli…..you too!

    Peace

L, I hope you’ll post your new feed URL, too..

BTw, I’m getting winking icons in *my* comments over on amber’s blog – and a little quilt-pattern profile icon that I didn’t upload.

Do you suppose someone spiked the WordPress water supply?!

Well, look at this….real women, real names! Lindsey and Kelli…a day full of surprises! Lindsey, I’m a WordPress lover too and I’m so glad you’re nabbing up your domain name. I’d also love to hear what motivated you to bring your real name to the blog world…and you too dear Kelli.

    How fun!

When you are on your new site I’ll put a link to our blog ‘thetwoauntees@blogspot.com’
I always look forward to your new comments.

BTW- the little Avatars are an auto-generated feature that WordPress recently added. I switched it to “monster” instead of “identicon”. I think the little monsters are cute.

  11. e2c replied:

They are cute, but… I think I’d better activate a WP account so that I can choose my own avatar.

  12. e2tc replied:

OK, here I am with my choice of icon. (Had to add an extra letter to my username, though.)

  13. e2tc replied:

    hmm – test.

  14. e2tc replied:

OK, let’s try this one more time… sorry for junking up your comment thread – please feel free to delete this and similar posts!

  15. amberfireinus replied:

Well… I have been blogging under my own name since day one. Dang am I BORING!

Lindsey – I always liked the Shush now… why did you decide to change?

  16. e2tc replied:

    I like “Shush Now,” too.

As for blogging under my own name, I might do it again sometime, but for now, I prefer to have an “alt.self” for security/privacy reasons.

  17. Lindsey replied:

Well, girls, for one now that I’m writing for a lot more sites and trying to get my name out there I realized that it would be more effective to write under my real name rather than a pen, unless when I publish books I would publish under a pen name. So I figured where I plan on being more visible (like here and Harlot’s Sauce) I ought to go as myself. Vox, where I blog for myself, I will stay as Shush Now.

This blog will move on to it’s own domain name over the weekend (still hosted by WordPress though so no worries) and simply become emphaticasterisk.com, so there’s no reason to stay as Shush unless I want to.

And honestly? I don’t really want to. So here and elsewhere around WordPress and on any other sites I guest write as myself (like with Harlot’s sauce) I’ll be Lindsey Kaye, which, ironically, still isn’t my real name but close enough. I was going to go as Lindsey K. but it seemed too middle school. :D
