Anybody want pretty things?
I’m offering buy one, get one free from my Etsy store.
(Still jobless, starting to panic.)
But just to be clear, I don’t expect that anyone should buy from me, it’s just that if you’ve been toying with the idea or there’s something you like- this would be a great time for all involved.

@Hayden:I do knit and crochet. Let’s see- what kind of hats? Cotton or wool? Depending on the yarn and pattern I’d say…. ten dollars per hat? I did a funky retro style one with a big flower on the front, it was awesome.
Sorry, that was random. I’m sleepy. Yes- ten dollars per hat, depending. Maybe fifteen if they are insanely fancy. (But probably ten.)
Oh, and I’ve tried everything looking for a job, but I need part time nights, and the economy in our area is tanking, so jobs are scarce. Even at McDonalds.

Even at McDonalds? I went to a management seminar one time and the speaker said “You can get a job at McDonald’s taking out the trash and if you have a good attitude and whistle while you take the trash out they will give you an extra fifty cents an hour.”
Just last night my pastor was teaching on INTEGRITY. He relayed a story about his brother in law who has a BoJangles and his empolyee turn over rate of terrible. He said if he can just get an employee to show up on time (all the time), do what they are told and not steal from them they were managment material!
If you really need the McDonalds job keep going back (to the same manager) and not during the busy times. If you have already filled out an application absolutely do this… HAND WRITE a personal note stressing that you are dependable, will show up on time, honest and have a pleasent attitude. I’m telling you if I had someone come back (not calling on the phone) with a hand written note they would be at the top of my list when the next spot opens.
I pray that the doors open the Lord wants open for you.

@Mssc54: Seriously, the job market is inundated, and since I’m only looking for part time evenings and weekends I’m not anyone’s first choice.
This is even further complicated by the fact that I only need work for about two months, after which I’ll be daycaring for two babies during the day, and that will be enough money to cover our budget.
I hear rumors from very clever people that since I’m “gifted” in the area of arts and baking yummy things that I should put my brain to work and come up with a way to cover the spread without having to flip burgers. I guess we’ll see!
@SF: You put together shiny website, I cream butter and sugar! Girl, I am SO freaking excited! We’re going to make this thing work for us! What could POSSIBLY be better than getting paid to do what you would do anyway?

GREAT IDEA!! Remember the post DM made about the lemonade stand? How about a home baked cookies, cake and brownies stand?
Or if you can sneek an add in your local paper or put fliers up on apartment communities bullitan boards (usually in the laundry room).
